Water Rockets Are Now on Order
Tuesday, May 6th, 2008Ok so today I ordered 10 more water rockets from my distributor and will sell them on a limited test run basis. If they sell well and I get lots of good feedback from the people who bought them I will start to carry them on this site, since I find them to be of decent quality and a fair price.
The water rockets that we tested are doing well after many repeated launches and landings they are holding up. We did get a bit wet but the weather here has gotten much better and is now ideal for launching water rockets. I have yet to try to launch aqua rockets in the wind, but I presume that they will be best launched against the wind so that they can easily come back to you without flying away in the strong breeze.
I have my mind set on modifying one of these water rockets since they look stable enough to cut open and stretch. This will be done similar to stretching a limousine. You cut the aqua rocket in half then add a section to it glue it up to seal it and make it pressure proof. Once the glue has dried test it by hooking the water missile up to the air pump and pump it up with air. The water rocket should hold much more air volume and be able to fly higher using more water and air in the mix. If anyone has tried this water rocket modification I would love to hear from you and to what glue you used and what you used as a tube.
