Water Rockets and Water Rocket Launchers

Water Rockets Make For A Crazy Water powered Jet Pack

Water rockets have a new use. In Japan a Water Jet Pack Pilot wears a hard hat and prepaire to embark on a wild ride. Using more than fifteen four liter bottles strapped together, partially filled with water and then pressurized with air, a Japanese man prepares for what he and his assistants believe to be a short flight of maybe fifteen feet or five meters into the water to a buoy placed as a target.

To his surprise and all watching the event the water rockets out do themselves and launch the water jet pack more than four times the projected distance to over sixty feet! An amazing fifteen meters further than they expected. At one point in the video you can see the water rocket pack spinning the pilot, proving that merely draping a cargo net over the rack of pressurized water bottles is not enough and a possible need for stabilizer fins.

Warning do not try this at home! Just because water rockets use simple ingredients such as water and air you can still hurt yourself. Video courtesy of YouTube.
