NASA's Writeup About Water Rockets

I was reading what NASA had to say about water rockets on their website. And they called it a great educational tool for people to learn about physics . In their parts diagram for a water rocket, they have the nose cone, the payload section (classified as optional), the 2 liter body, the nozzle and the fins. This is pretty much the basics of any water rocket. What I do wish they would do is list some good kits for us to buy.

NASA’s water rocketry site does have a really good article on how to build your own water rocket launcher. If their instructions look a little intimidating to you I suggest you start off with one of the very simple and easy to use water rocket kits we have reviewed on our review page.
Their write up on the science of water rocketry is quite good I suggest you visit their site after looking around mine. Make sure you bookmark us for future visits and answers to your technical questions of water rockets.
