OK, so if you are reading this page undoubtedly you are either getting ready to luanch your water propelled rockets for the first time and want to make sure you do not get wet, or you already have some expreince with water rockets and, knowing how soaked you can get, have come to this page for advice on how to stay dry.
Ok well the first thing is you are playing with water here so the unexpected spills will happen as you refill the H2O in your fuselage. Keep that in mind and make sure you don’t leave any electronic equipment around in the launch are. This includes cell phones, pdas, cameras, and so on. Then wear something that can get soaked. Preferably bring a change of clothing. Am I starting to sound like your mother? Well she is a very smart person I might add ;-).
Yes you guessed it folks there is not any real guaranteed way of keeping dry when launching your water rockets. Just keep the rocket’s flight path aimed away from onlookers and anything that should not get wet, and then have fun with it. If you are really bothered by the back spray from the water jet wear a rain coat and rain hood. If you’re a contact lens wearer then wear some eye protection.
Want to capture the moment in a picture or create your own video of water rockets? Then I recommend the Olympus Stylus 770SW. The Stylus can capture hi resolution images of your water rocket launch and with the press of a button, can be switched to video camera mode to take footage of the blast off.
Have cool images from your wild and wacky aqua missile launches? Then send them to us and we can post it in our contributor’s section.
